Sports Injury & Rehabilitation

Recovery isn't just about getting out of pain. It's about rebuilding the strength, confidence and capacity to get back to doing what you love.

Common conditions

  • Patient performing post-operative shoulder rehabilitation following subacromial decompression surgery with guidance from a sports rehabilitation specialist to restore strength, mobility and function.

    Post-Surgery Rehabilitation

Surgery repairs the tissue. Rehabilitation teaches your body how to use it again. Whether you've had a shoulder repair, ACL reconstruction or spinal procedure, we'll guide you safely from healing back to full function.

  • Diagnostic ultrasound scan of shoulder bursitis being performed in clinic to assess inflammation and guide diagnosis and treatment planning.

    Bursitis

An irritated bursa is often a symptom of something else going on. We identify why it became inflamed in the first place — whether that's in the shoulder, hip or knee — and build a plan that addresses the cause, not just the pain.

  • Patient completing tendon loading exercises for shoulder tendinopathy in a rehabilitation gym under the supervision of an exercise rehabilitation specialist.

    Tendinopathy

Tendons don't usually fail overnight. That morning stiffness, the ache after exercise, the pain that eases once you've warmed up — these are classic signs your tendon has gradually lost the capacity to cope. We rebuild that capacity progressively.

FAQs

Do I need to have had surgery to book a sports rehabilitation appointment?

Not at all. Many of our patients are managing ongoing tendon pain, bursitis or sports injuries that haven't required surgery but need structured rehabilitation to resolve.

Can I keep training while I'm being treated?

In most cases, yes. We'll modify your training rather than stop it completely, keeping you moving safely while your body recovers.

How long does rehabilitation usually take?

That depends on your diagnosis and how long the problem has been present. We'll give you a realistic recovery timeline at your first appointment rather than a predetermined package.

Will I receive treatment at my first appointment?

In most cases, yes. We'll assess, diagnose and begin treatment in the same session.

Do you work with surgeons or other healthcare professionals?

Yes. If you've been given a post-operative protocol or have been referred by another clinician, we'll incorporate their guidance into your rehabilitation plan.
